We
recycle all the waste fluids and all the used, worn-out or broken parts
that we can possibly recycle-even when there are no laws, ordinances or
requirements forcing us to recycle. We will not send to the landfill any
waste items that can feasibly be recycled, including the following: Old tires, damaged parts, antifreeze, brake fluid and waste oil. In
fact, after we do oil changes for our customers, instead of throwing
the used oil filters into the trash, we send them to a local service
company that drains and squeezes every drop of waste oil out of the
filters to be recycled. And then the company cleans, crushes and recycles even the scrap steel left over! A recent national study has shown that this process reclaims millions of gallons of waste oil and tons of rusting steel.
